Board Directors
Lesley Schwartz, 43, is Chairman, a mother of two and works locally for a voluntary organisation. She has been involved with a number of local community based groups as a volunteer and committee member. She re-joined as a member for the second time in 1995 after having children and is a member of the Bowls Section. Lesley's responsibility as Chairman is to ensure the Board fulfills its statutory duties and the club is run smoothly.
Kate Brown is 42 years young and has worked for Bank of America for 18 years. She has been Tennis member at PGC since 2003 and prior to being a Director was on the Tennis Section Committee. Kate has been a Director since Oct 2007 and is responsible for membership and marketing and publicity of the Club.
Andrew Medhurst is 42 years old and works for Lloyds TSB in financial markets. He joined the club as a Tennis member in 2006 and was elected to the board in October 2007. Andrew has Director responsibility for the club website and will work with fellow director Tom Bright to better analyse club income and expenditures and help to improve the club's financial stability.
Michael Bond is Vice Chairman and represents the Club in ongoing re-development negotiations with Bellway Homes to whom we granted an option in mid-2007. Michael is a tennis member.
Jim Breen is the director responsible for premises.
Tom Bright takes day to day reponsibility for the club finances and administration and is the director most likely to be found at the club of an evening!
John Lord, 50, is a lawyer with Barclays Bank. He's a tennis member and Chairman of the Tennis Section. John has a particular interest in developing junior tennis at the Club.
Tom Tibbits, 28, is proud to be the youngest member on the Board and is leading the revival of real ale sales behind the bar. Tom's background is renewable energy technology so look out for the recycling bins and energy saving lightbulbs coming to the club! You can meet Tom on the croquet lawns or at the bar.
